About the Author:

Dr. Youssef Farhat, MD/PhD is a Board-Certified Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist who works as an independent contractor based in Detroit Metro, Michigan. Dr. Farhat has worked as a general surgical pathologist with privileges in several hospital systems since completing a Gastrointestinal Pathology Fellowship at the University of Utah in 2022. Prior to that, Dr. Farhat completed his residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2021, and his MD/PhD at the University of Rochester in 2017.

While pursuing his PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Dr. Farhat started Protocol Place.com and its accompanying YouTube Channel in order to convey some of the research tips and lab techniques that he learned as a graduate student in an easy and dynamic medium. His website and videos gained popularity quickly, and have been viewed over 2 million times.
